SHINING.
Playing what the band calls “Alfapocalyptic Rock”, which mixes Black Metal with Classic Rock and Punk, and topped off with some Goth influences, ALFAHANNE has created a style of music that is powerful and beautiful, yet raw and ugly at the same time.

After hearing the Luciferian Age EP this album instantly became one of my most anticipated albums for 2022. And it did not disappoint. It was in my top 3 albums for 2022. I love the atmosphere throughout the album. It's not a relentless beating all the way and 'This Night Seems Endless' with its slower tempo quickly became another favorite of mine. But what I love most from all of the songs has to be 'Draugr'. From the guitar solo in the middle all the way to the end is so beautiful! ❤️

Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross!

The first time I heard this band was off their Heir of Ecliptical Romanticism, and I remember the riffs being the highlight of the album. This album is no different. The band just has a fuller sound with better production these days. Many of their tunes here remind me of early Satyricon. The classic heavy metal influences really make those riffs stick in your brain.
